WebCast December 19th, 2009 3pm EST (Zip, 519 MB) - The topic of this WebCast is about Pick Blocking and Palm Blocking and the different techniques that you can use in between the two. We will show you the different ways to hold your right hand and block the strings. Palm, pick. Flat Hand and Traditional. Elbow in, Elbow out. And of course all the ways in between.

I'll also do a segment on scales and Excel. This allows you to see where your hands need to go to find the scales.

I've totally redone this video with 7 cameras in some spots. It has a great section to help your learn the different ways to hold your hand for palm or pick blocking. Joe takes it to the knuckle level!

This was prerecorded and edited on the computer.

Great section on what happens when scale patterns change on your neck. Must See...

WebCast 09.19.09 (19, 387 MB) - Subject will be: Using the major scale to play over different chords. Basically a study of the modes. For instance if you are in the key of C and playing a G7th chord then the scale to use is a C major scale. That is because the pattern that is used is the same physical pattern but funcions differently over a different chord. The C scale is also used for a D minor chord.

As always we will go over some technique to help train those hands to play the modes.

Each attendee gets a link after the broadcast to download the entire 1 hour lesson movie.

Topics:

  • Right/Left Technique
  • Modal Scale Tricks
